Transportation Letters

If you have been out of the U.S. for less than one year and your permanent resident card (often called a “green card”) was lost/stolen/expired, you must request a transportation letter. 

You must present:

  • A Valid Passport
  • Migratory Movement from Nicaraguan Immigration Offices
  • Police Report
  • Airline ticket used to travel to Nicaragua
  • Processing Fee of $165 US dollars
  • Evidence that you reside in the United States (taxes, job letter, state identification, etc)
  • Application Form
