The State Department hosts a secure online registration website that allows American citizens to record foreign travel and residence information.  We use this information to communicate with you and assist you in the case of an emergency.

We invite you to register yourself and your family. If you are already registered with the Consulate and your information has changed, we ask that you please update your records online at the following website: https://travelregistration.state.gov

By registering, the Embassy can:

• Contact you in case of a country-wide emergency.
  
• Better assist you if you find yourself in trouble.
  
• In an emergency, contact your family and friends in the United States.
  
• Better assist you if you lose your passport or other documents.
  

The data you provide is secured behind Department of State firewalls, accessed only by cleared personnel in Embassies, Consulates, and the Department of State, and releasable only with your permission under the provisions of the Privacy Act.
