Pre-departure Briefing WOC 2013

The Economic / Commercial Section recently organized a pre-departure briefing for 18 delegates from Nicaragua who attended World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Nevada on Feb. 4-8, 2013 as part of the International Buyer Program (IBP) from the US Department of Commerce. Our Deputy Chief of Mission Charles V. Barclay hosted the event in Managua and he was joined by our Econ Counselor Gary Clements and Economic Officer Mary Swartz.

The Nicaraguan delegation was led by Commercial Specialist Marixell García during the trade show. The Embassy's Economic Section recognizes the significant growth of the construction industry in Nicaragua and hopes to promote more US exports in order to contribute the industry's development.
