Changes Visa Information
*** NOTICE ***
CHANGES TO SERVICE SCHEDULE
In order to help reunite families more quickly and reduce our immigrant visa backlog, as of March 31 the Consulate is suspending the following walk-in information services until further notice:
General and Specific Visa Information for all categories, except adoptions
Extensive general visa information is found on the Embassy website at:
http://nicaragua.usembassy.gov/visa_services.html
If you wish to speak to someone about general immigrant and non-immigrant visa information, a pay-for-information service is available through a Call Center. You must purchase a Personal Identification Number (PIN) at any branch of BanCentro bank and then call 001-800-226-0231. This number can only be accessed from a touch-tone, land-based telephone with international service. (If calling from the United States, use 1-866-329-9471 to purchase a PIN number using a Visa or MasterCard.) A $12 fee buys 8 minutes of call time, is valid for 6 months and is valid for use only 24 hours after purchase.
If you have a specific question about an immigrant visa case that is already on file and can supply us with the MNG number, you may send an email to managuaconsulariv@state.gov. The MNG number should be in the subject line of your email followed by the general nature of your inquiry (e.g., fiancé visa, affidavit of support, etc.).
If you have a specific question about a non-immigrant visa case, you may send an email to managuaconsular@state.gov.
We normally respond to inquiries within two working days.
