UNITED STATES CITIZEN REPORTED MISSING

August 9, 2007

The United States Embassy and the Consular Section in Managua are asking for assistance from anyone who can provide information on the whereabouts of the United States citizen Parnapatchara Bindie (nee Suriyasat).  She was last heard from on May 28, 2007.  It is possible that Ms. Bindie could be in the outskirts of Managua, and could previously have traveled in the Rivas department.  It is also possible that Ms. Bindie is ill and that her identification documents may have been stolen.  The Consular office continues to work with the Nicaraguan National Police to locate her.

Physical description of Parnapatchara Bindie (nee Suriyasat).

Age: 51
Approximate Weight: 90 pounds or 41 kilograms
Height:  5 feet and 2 inches or 152 cm.
Hair: Black, possibly short
Eyes: Black
She is a U.S. citizen of Thai descent.
